Today Legacy hits the water for the first time in over 12 years!!! With a feather on her prop for luck, She was once again lifted and ready for launch!
Under a light December rain, we all held our breath as she was slowly lowered into the water.
As soon as the boat was in the water, Jeff jumped aboard to check and make sure she was not leaking anywhere and that everything looked good! Thankfully everything was dry and looked great!
As soon as the boat was settled in the water, the rain stopped and the sun came out! So proud to say this boat is back in the water where she belongs! Now as some may have notice, we have not had any blog posts about the engine, basically since we first fired her up in the yard, and that is correct. The engine is in place, sort of, but it is not hooked up. The only thing currently hooked up is a bilge pump quick wired to a small battery, just in case! The guys at the port were kind enough to tow us over to Jeff's boathouse right next door for a few days and then again over to our under cover slip at the LaConner Marina.
Yes, our sailboat is undercover, at least for now!
